Some Highlights from the Olympics.

This is American swimmer Ryan Lochte.   He beat Micheal Phelps the other night!
Ryan Lochte wanted to wear a custom-made red, white and blue grill on the podium after winning the 400 swimming event but the Olympics officials said no.  So this picture was taken after the  gold medal ceremony.  Ryan Lochte has a history of having his picture taken with a medal and his grill.  He has multiple grills and very nice teeth.

U.S. striker Abby Wambach was sucker-punched during the first half of the U.S. women's 3-0 win on Saturday by Lady Andrade of Columbia.  The ref did not see the punch so no foul was called but it was caught on tape so the Olympic officials (or maybe the FIFA officials) could take a look at the tape and issue discipline at a later date. The match did get kind of chippy but the U.S. showed class by not retaliating, they just scored more goals.  Abby Wambach scored one goal during this game.
The US women have already qualified for the second round by wining their first two games of the Olympics.  On Wednesday they defeated France 4-2.
U.S. plays against North Korea on Tuesday.

Learning Spanish is Awesome

Tomorrow is the fourth of July!

Tomorrow is the 4th of July and tomorrow my brother and I are going to the Tigers game tomorrow night.  I am not really looking forward to this because the stress of driving, getting there on time, and then driving back all falls on me since my brother does not drive.  The fourth of July is when the U.S. declared its independence from England.  When I finally get the opportunity to blog I just don't feel all that motivated to do so.  So I'm going to finish this off and post a video off of you tube.
